Our Investment Casting Process

Fedele Autocore's investment casting foundry excels in producing a diverse array of intricate and precise shapes. Our process involves:

Pattern Creation

An original pattern is crafted using wax, plastic, 3D printing filament, or other suitable materials.

Mold Fabrication

A mold is manufactured from aluminum alloy, chosen for its cost-effectiveness, low melting point, and lightweight properties.

Wax Model and Tree Assembly

Wax is injected into the aluminum mold, then a tree-like structure is assembled, then the structure is dried and sprayed with sand.

Shell Formation and Dewaxing

The mold is repeatedly coated with refractory material. Then the coated mold is heated to melt out the wax (dewaxing).

Material Casting

Molten material is poured into the dewaxed sand shell. Once solidified, the sand shell is broken either manually or by machine.

Machining

The cast part undergoes cutting, polishing, and machining as required for its intended use.
